How to read a whale trade

The percentage is the price per share and also the market's implied chance. A buy of “Yes” at 24% costs $0.24 a share and pays $1 if it comes true.

A sale is not the opposite bet by default: the trader may simply be taking profit or cutting a loss. Check the top traders to see who has a record worth following, and browse live events for the odds behind each market.

What counts as a Polymarket whale trade?
Any single trade worth $10,000 or more. WhaleSays reads Polymarket's public trade data and lists these trades as they land, usually within a minute or two.
Why are some trades missing from the feed?
Trades at prices above 97% or below 3% are hidden. They are mostly traders cashing out markets that are already decided, which says little about what the smart money expects.
Does a big trade mean the outcome is likely?
No. A whale paying 24 cents for a share is saying the market is too low, not that the event is certain. Whales are sometimes wrong, so use a big trade as a reason to look closer.

Can I see what a trader has done before?
Yes. Click a trader's name to see their profit, open positions, biggest wins and recent trades. Names are the public Polymarket usernames, or a shortened wallet address when the trader has none.
