Responsible Trading on Polymarket
WhaleSays is for adults aged 18 and over only. Prediction markets can lose you the whole amount you trade. Only trade money you can afford to lose, and decide your limits before you start.
Know the risk
A position on a prediction market can go to zero. Prices can move quickly, and a large trade by a whale does not mean its outcome will happen. Our whale feed shows what big traders did, not what will happen next.
Set limits
Decide how much you will spend, and how much you will risk on any one market, before you open an account. Stop when you reach your limit. Do not trade money you need for bills, rent or food.
Never chase losses
Trying to win back money you have lost usually leads to bigger losses. If a trade goes against you, take a break instead of placing a larger one.
Warning signs
- You trade for longer, or with more money, than you planned.
- You borrow money, or sell things, to fund trades.
- You trade to win back losses.
- You hide how much you trade from people close to you.
- You feel anxious or irritable when you cannot trade.
Get help
If trading is causing problems for you or someone close to you, support is available. Gambling Therapy (gamblingtherapy.org) is an international service for people affected by gambling. If you live elsewhere or prefer in-person help, contact a local support service in your country.
