Polymarket UFC: fight odds, method of victory and the rules

By WhaleSays Editorial · Updated · 7 min read

Polymarket lists each UFC fight as a market where you trade shares in each fighter with other people. A share pays $1 if the fighter is officially declared the winner, so the price in cents is the chance: 35¢ is a 35% chance, +186 in American odds and 2.86 in decimal odds. ESPN reported on 13 November 2025 that the UFC announced a deal making Polymarket its exclusive prediction-market partner, with Polymarket odds appearing in UFC broadcasts.

The 12 busiest UFC fights in the next two weeks, in start order, because cards are a week apart and the next numbered event is often more than seven days away. Each fighter shows a Polymarket price in cents, then the same price as American and decimal odds. The favourite comes first.

What you can bet on in a UFC fight

The fight winner is the moneyline: one market, two fighters. Around it, the fights we read on 3 November 2026 carried a lot more. There were markets on whether the fight goes the distance, whether it ends by KO or TKO (for the fight and for each fighter), by submission or by decision, whether it ends before round 2, 3, 4 or 5, and whether a given fighter wins in a given round. There were also over/under lines on the number of rounds, from 0.5 up to 2.5 on a three-round fight and 4.5 on a five-round one, so the five-round main events had the longest lists.

This is the part of UFC betting where Polymarket reads closest to a sportsbook's prop menu, and also where the markets are thinnest. The fights we read, days before the events on 7 and 14 November 2026, had traded from nothing to about $5K each, and the method and round markets had traded far less. A thin market has a wider gap between the price to buy and the price to sell. That gap is a cost on top of any fee, so look at the “traded so far” line on each card before you size a bet.

Fighters come with their weight class and card slot in the list above (for example “Heavyweight, Main Card”). The price of a fighter is simply the market's view: 35¢ for one fighter and 65¢ for the other means a 35% and a 65% chance. Selling your shares before the fight is the Polymarket version of a cash-out.

What the UFC market rules say

Fight sports end in strange ways, and the rules text is where they are settled. These points come from the markets for Johnny Walker vs. Waldo Cortes Acosta (7 November 2026), in our words. The live quotes below them are read from the markets listed above.

  • The winner market. It resolves to the fighter officially declared the winner. A draw, a technical draw, a no contest, a fight that is not scored, a canceled fight, or one postponed beyond a cut-off two weeks after the event resolves 50-50. Polymarket's resolution docs say a 50-50 resolution redeems every share at $0.50.
  • KO or TKO. It counts referee, doctor and corner stoppages. A draw or a disqualification of either fighter resolves it No.
  • Go the distance. It resolves Yes when the fight runs the full scheduled rounds and is decided by the judges. A draw on the scorecards after all rounds also resolves Yes, while a technical decision before the last round resolves No.
  • Rounds over/under. “Over 0.5 Rounds” resolves Yes if the fight continues past the 2:30 mark of round 1. A fight that ends exactly at the threshold resolves 50-50.

The source for all of them is official information from the UFC. A sportsbook may refund a draw or a no contest instead of paying half, so read its rules next to these.

Rules text as Polymarket publishes it on today's upcoming UFC fights, quoted from the market's own description. It is the rules text, not our summary.

Market rules for “UFC Fight Night: Jose Delano vs. Murtazali Magomedov (Featherweight, Prelims)”

“If the fight is declared a draw or technical draw, ruled a No Contest, not scored, canceled, or postponed beyond November 21, 2026, this market will resolve "50-50."”

Market rules for “Will the fight be won by KO or TKO” (UFC Fight Night: Jose Delano vs. Murtazali Magomedov (Featherweight, Prelims))

“If the fight ends in a draw or by disqualification (either fighter), it will resolve "No."”

Market rules for “Fight to Go the Distance” (UFC Fight Night: Jose Delano vs. Murtazali Magomedov (Featherweight, Prelims))

“Draws decided by the judges' scorecards after all scheduled rounds are completed will resolve "Yes." Technical decisions or technical draws declared before all rounds are completed will resolve "No."”

Why a long shot costs more in fees

The Polymarket taker fee is shares × 0.05 × price × (1 − price). As a share of your trade it equals 0.05 × (1 − price), which means it grows as the price falls. Fights are often lopsided, so that matters here. Polymarket’s market data lists a rate of 0.05 on the fights above. The table sets an invented bookmaker line of −200 on the favourite and +170 on the underdog (chances of 66.67% and 37.04%, a margin of 3.57%) against a Polymarket market at 65¢ and 35¢.

$100 on a UFC underdog and favourite: an invented bookmaker line against invented Polymarket prices
How you betYou put inYou get back if rightProfit if rightFee as a share of your trade
Underdog at the bookmaker, +170$100$270.00$170.00In the odds
Underdog on Polymarket, buy now at 35¢$103.25$285.71$182.463.25%
Favourite at the bookmaker, −200$100$150.00$50.00In the odds
Favourite on Polymarket, buy now at 65¢$101.75$153.85$52.101.75%

In this made-up case the Polymarket profit is higher than the bookmaker's on the underdog after the 3.25% fee, and higher on the favourite, after 1.75%. Real markets have a gap between the buy and sell price and will not match this example, in either direction. A limit order that waits to be filled pays no fee. The Polymarket odds converter compares your own bookmaker line with a live price, and our fees guide has the rates by category.

UFC champions and “who fights next” markets

Polymarket also lists UFC questions that run for months: who holds each division's title at the end of the year, who ranks No. 1 pound for pound, and who a named fighter will face next. Each is a Yes/No share that pays $1 if it comes true. These were open at the last refresh.

Fight night timing and your resting orders

Polymarket's markets documentation says outstanding limit orders on sports markets are cancelled automatically once the game begins, that start times can shift, and that you should monitor your orders around start time. On the 7 November card, every fight listed the same start time in the data we read, even though the fights run one after another through the evening. If you rest a limit order on a later fight, check how it will be treated.

If a sportsbook has limited your account, read what to do when a sportsbook limits your account. Polymarket's docs say its order book has no trading size limits, but with fights trading in the low thousands of dollars, depth is the limit that bites.

Who wins at sports on Polymarket

Polymarket's sports leaderboard covers every sport together, not just UFC. Its top sports trader over the last 30 days, BreakTheBank, made $6.7M. Leaderboards show the survivors: a Wall Street Journal analysis published in May 2026 found that 67% of Polymarket's profits went to 0.1% of accounts, so most traders earn far less and many lose money. See the Polymarket sports leaderboard for the ranking by day, week, month and all time, and the payout calculator for what a trade at any price would return.

Start small and read the rules first

A $20 trade is enough to learn how the order screen, the fee and the sell button work. Read the market rules before you buy, and only trade money you can afford to lose.

Frequently asked questions

Does Polymarket have UFC betting?
You can trade UFC fights. Polymarket lists the winner of each fight and, for many fights, markets on the method of victory, whether it goes the distance and the round it ends in. A share pays $1 if it is right, and you trade with other users instead of a bookmaker.
What is the UFC and Polymarket deal?
ESPN reported on 13 November 2025 that the UFC announced a deal making Polymarket its exclusive prediction-market partner, with Polymarket odds appearing in UFC broadcasts. We link the report and have not seen the contract, so we cannot say more than that.
What happens to a UFC market if the fight is a draw or a no contest?
In the winner market we read on 3 November 2026 (Johnny Walker vs. Waldo Cortes Acosta), a draw, technical draw, no contest, unscored or canceled fight, or one postponed past the cut-off resolves 50-50, which redeems every share at $0.50. A sportsbook may refund the bet instead.
How do method of victory markets work?
Each method is its own Yes/No market. The KO or TKO market counts referee, doctor and corner stoppages and resolves No on a draw or a disqualification. Go-the-distance resolves Yes when the fight runs the full rounds and is decided by the judges, and No on a technical decision before the last round.
How do I read a Polymarket UFC price as American odds?
The price in cents is the chance. A 35¢ fighter is +186 in American odds and 2.86 in decimal, and a 65¢ favourite is −186 and 1.54. Our odds converter does the sums for any price.
What is the fee on Polymarket UFC markets?
Takers pay shares × fee rate × price × (1 − price), and a limit order that waits to be filled pays nothing. Polymarket's market data lists 0.05 on current UFC fights. As a share of your trade the fee is 3.25% at 35¢ and 1.75% at 65¢, so it costs more on an underdog.
Can I bet on UFC fights with Polymarket from the US?
Seeing Polymarket odds on a UFC broadcast does not mean polymarket.com is open to you: it is closed to new trades in the United States. US customers have a separate CFTC-regulated app, Polymarket US, with its own markets, terms and fees. Outside the US, check our availability page for your country and read your local rules.
